Jar Card 281 (modified): Talk about Grilled Cheese
Ricky was working hard in the politics career, and doing well. He managed to get elected to senator.
Unfortunately for Ricky, he had some stiff competition in the field from Brittany Devivio so when a position came up in his desired field of Law Enforcement he jumped at the chance for a career change.
Law Enforcement required a lot of logic... officers of the law needed to be able to outsmart those crafty criminals after all... Ricky spent a lot of his time outside stargazing and trying to build up his logic skills
One evening a woman came by and offered him a reward for being so diligent with his science interest
Like both of her parents, Vinaya was very intelligent and also excelled in her career. She managed to get promoted as high in the Intelligence career as she could without a college degree
Even though she had risen to the top of the Intelligence field, she still continued to study hard. She had to earn skill points so that she could get good scholarships to college.
To celebrate her promotion, she asked Kennedy to go out to a movie with her ((to the Film and Literature hobby lot)).
Needless to say, Vinaya and Kennedy didn't really get to see a lot of the movie...
When Vinaya wasn't studying or hanging out with Kennedy, she was working in the garden she decided to start when the weather warmed up in the spring
Mahran was equally as social as his sister, he was always bringing home friends from school... and they usually turned out to be girls. Mahran was well on his way to being a ladies man...
Janet's brother Brad and his family were coming for dinner that evening and Janet couldn't decide what to make. She had to consult with Vinaya...
Janet: So do you think Uncle Brad and Aunt Tessa would enjoy some Delicious Grilled Cheese for dinner?
Vinaya: ...
Vinaya: ::nods:: I bet they would LOVE some Grilled CheeseHaving busy kids allowed Janet and Ricky to have a lot of alone time. Ricky managed to catch up to Janet that evening while she was preparing dinner.
Luckily Brad and Tessa and their eldest daughter, Carmen, were a little late getting to the house. When they arrived, Mahran and Carmen began playing instantly... The cousins were inseparable
Janet thought it was nice being able to catch up with her brother and sister-in-law over dinner. Tessa was so wiped out from the pregnancy though that she wasn't much company
Brad: So my company assigned me to help design what will be the tallest building in Sim City... isn't that great?!Tessa: zzzZZZzzz
A few nights after Brad and Tessa's visit, the family received another visitor. Janet thought it would be a good time to try and get the kids into private school
While Ricky gave the headmaster the tour of the house, Janet prepared dinner. Unfortunately her first two tries failed and she managed to burn both batches of pork chops
By the time she finally was able to get a good batch out of the oven the headmaster didn't have enough time to finish his meal
Without a full experience the headmaster was not able to admit Vinaya and Mahran into his academy.Vinaya wasn't too upset about not being able to get into private school because she had bigger and better things ahead of her. After checking her scholarships, Vinaya headed off to Sim State

((I love this family, I can't get over how much I enjoy playing them. I can't wait to get Vinaya and Kennedy together in college, they are going to have such lovely spawn... hopefully Kennedy's elf ears transfer. I've read a lot of blogs where the player restricts certain careers to one sim TOC at a time, so I decided to do this with Ricky. It didn't make sense to keep him in the politics career with Brittany Devivio hot on his tails for promotion to Mayor and his dream career came up on the computer so I had him grab it. Speaking of Ricky, he spent so much time at the telescope that I accidentally almost killed him:
He got struck by lightening twice in the same night. It was not pretty. Anyways, we're off to visit the Annya Var house at University next and check on Frank, Magenta, Victoria, Columbia and James.))

With all the time Ricky seemed to be spending on the telescope, I was slightly concerned that he'd end up with an alien baby. Vinaya and Kennedy look like they'd make some cute kids, and I took hope he passes on his elf ears.
Don't be afraid to serve the headmaster burnt pork chops. They usually score pretty good anyway!
@Eien: I wouldn't have minded too much if he had gotten abducted. I was slightly upset though that he got hit with lightening twice and almost died though! I can't wait to breed Vinaya and Kennedy!!!
@J68: Yeah, the Wade's got 39 points for burnt pork chops, I should have just served them... oh well, maybe next time. I don't even thing Vinaya took a hit to her aspiration from the failure, so no biggie.
I love this house too, though I will always have major love for Janet and Vinaya especially. Don't know why, I just do. :) I had my very first sim struck by lightning the other round! I was scared to death he would die! I'll give you two clues as to who it was: it was in the greek house, and it's ironically sad.
Poor Ricky, lol. I have to admit, I was rooting for mebbe an alien baby too. :)
