Wade (R7)

Brittany Parker and William Wade are the first 100% townie couple in Silvervale. They both graduated from Sim State and have moved back to Silvervale to start their family. Will they be able to conceive a baby to meet their Family priorities? Lets see

Brittany and William broke in their new home the only way a couple could

Both were able to find decent paying jobs William took a job in Law Enforcement hoping one day to climb to the top and become a Captain Hero

Brittany found a job in Architecture thinking it might be nice to teach architecture at some point in the Future

Despite their college educations neither Brittany or William were good cooks

So they ended up having take out their first night in their new house

After dinner, the couple went shopping for wedding clothes. Brittany found a beautiful Roman style dress that would be perfect for their moonlit wedding plans

William wanted to surprise his fiance so he bought her a nice necklace to go with her dress

The next day, in the early evening the guests arrived for the wedding

Janet Devivio and Stella Terrano (not pictured: Ricky Cormier)

Jeannie Vijayakar, Kurt Devivio, Wesley Teer, Addison Teer

At Dusk the guests took their seats and William waited nervously at the arch for his bride to walk down the aisle. Brittany, looking radiant under the moonlight joined William at the arch and they began to recite their vows

They then exchanged rings

And their first kiss as a married couple

All the guests cheered them on

Then it was Party Time! Of course no wedding party would be complete without some Smustling

After the Smustle, it was time to cut the cake

A late dinner and conversation were enjoyed by all

The party was a roaring success

After all the guests departed the Limo William booked came to take the couple away for the evening even though the new couple couldn't afford to take a fancy honeymoon

The next day it was back to reality. During her first day at the architecture firm, Brittany was faced with a tough decision

Luckily it panned out and she even received a promotion for being such a good judge of character

Brittany had felt queasy all day and, as she ascended the stairs to their house, wondered if their wishes for children had come true already

That evening, the Wades got a surprise visitor

Only being in the house 2 days, they didn't have time to get a burglar alarm installed. The burglar made off with the stereo they had bought for the wedding

And the TV

William heard noises downstairs and called the cops

Eventually they arrived and helped capture the burglar

The insurance money was enough to replace the TV that the burglar had stolen

Luckily Brittan slept through the whole ordeal. She found out the next morning that she was indeed pregnant, so it was good that she didn't have the stress of the burglary

Brittany told William that they would be expecting their first child over a game of chess

William headed to his first day of work and brought home his first promotion

With the bonus money from his promotion, William purchased a violin to pursue his love of music (his OTH) with hopes that it would be something he could share with his new son or daughter

Despite William waiting on her hand and foot, Brittany had a rough pregnancy, she was always either feeling tired or hungry, sometimes both

Brittany was relieved when she went into labor

William was at home for the delivery of their son, they were both overjoyed to be parents

Byron Wade was born with red hair, as expected, and seemed to share Brittany's complexion

After the delivery it was time to head back to work. Brittany and William weren't very happy about having to leave Byron with a nanny, but they managed to hire the best nanny in town

William continued to excel in his career and brought home another promotion

To close out the week, Bryon transitioned into a very cute, freckly little red-headed toddler, the fun was just beginning

Scoring: 1 point for Byron

Household Net-Worth: 68, 790

((OK, admittedly I gave William a makeover in SimPE to lessen the hugeness of his mouth and nose a little bit, he was just too cartoon looking for my taste. He still has the same profile though - a very prominent forehead. The wedding was beautiful and everything went swimmingly and Brittany came back from the honeymoon pregnant -- yay for InTeen and Risky Honeymoon. This couple is to strictly infuse my population with red-headed sims which I didn't have the foresight to make when I created my CAS sims. I like them but I'm not nearly as attached to them as I am to my CAS and the decendants of my CAS sims. This officially ends Round 7. You'll see a few changes in Round 8 the first of which is shorter rounds down from 7 to 5. This is purely an experiment. 7 days to me is a little too tedious especially with my limited playtime as of late [this round took me 2 months to play and blog!] so hopefully with shorter rounds I can update in a more timely manner. Also, I will be starting to draw slips from Java Jan's Jar challenge so that I can hopefully experience more things that the game has to offer. I will be updating the supplemental information in different format so keep an eye out for that as well. Oh and I love love love InTeen, that will be sticking around also. See you in Round 8!))

Hehehehe, redheads to suffuse the neighborhood. Maybe you should move them to Bluewater or something and just have them breed many many children to pair up with your CAS descendants. :p

I have Brittany in my game, too. She's married to Randy London, they have three bolts.
"My" Brittany is Fortune, though, and haven't got any kids yet.

P.S. The wedding and the baby are gorgeous.

What a beautiful wedding! I hope 5 days are going well. That seems like a good amount to me...enough that you can have something go on, but you don't have whole life stages come and go. And I'm looking forward to the jar challenge.

I am definitely a big fan of my four day rotations, but I know some folks like to keep it within the season limits. :D

Yay for red haired sims! I loved the night wedding, how cool. You don't see many of those!

@Shannon: yeah, in my sim-n00b-ish-ness I neglected to make any redheads in my CAS sims, silly me. The couple is actually pretty endearing so I'm looking forward to playing them.

@J68: I wasn't sure about Brittany but I've seen her in a lot of blogs and she seems like a sweet sim. I'm glad she found a good mate in Uni because she and Addie just didn't really work together.

@Rachel and Mao: 5 day rounds start with Round 8 and I LOVE them so far (4 houses in so far... keep an eye out for updates soon!). The Jar challenge also adds a nice element and variety to the game. The evening wedding worked out perfectly. I actually took some hints from your lighting tutorial, Mao, to get the pics looking nice ;)
