Teer 1 (R9)

Last time at the Teer's Addison moved back bringing with him his fiance, Stella. After having 1 day of hands-off play, Addie and Stella got married with the Devivio and Hoppes clans in attendance. After the wedding, Stella found out she was pregnant. She gave birth to a green-skinned baby girl that they named Harley-Quinn. Miraculously Kelly and Clayton remained alive to see another round. Will Harley-Quinn grow up well? Are there more little green babies in Addie and Stella's future? How much longer until Kelly and Clayton pass on to the great sim beyond?

Clayton, ever the popularity sim, was always getting phone calls

Unfortunately, this was a call he wasn't able to take. A few minutes earlier, Grimm had showed up to escort Clayton to the great sim beyond

Clayton went contentedly, he had a great life filled with a large family and circle of friends

Those friends and family received large sums from Clayton's life insurance policy

The family was devastated, especially Addison

There were plenty of distractions around the Teer household, especially since it was Harley-Quinn's Birthday

The Teer's found many other things to keep their minds off Clayton's passing. Addison resumed his nightly star-gazing, similar to what he did as a teen

One Night he saw something unexpected

Before Addison could decide if his eyes were deceiving him, he was wisked into a UFO and taken for a bit of a joy ride

Stella absorbed herself in teaching Harley-Quinn the skills she would need to transition into a child

Since Addie was off galavanting in a UFO, Kelly also pitched in with helping Harley-Quinn learn her skills

Missing Clayton, Kelly poured the rest of her days into helping to care for her grand-daughter. If Harley-Quinn were awake, Kelly would be reading to her or playing with her. Kelly also spent a lot of time in Harley-Quinn's room, just watching over her

In the wee hours of the morning, Addison was dropped back off, quite literally at the front door

despite having a bit of a rough night, Addison felt OK to go to work. Going into work appeared to be the right decision because he came home with a promotion

When Harley-Quinn was napping, Stella had time to work in the garden. She had gotten so good at gardening that she was awarded her Gold gardening badge

The next morning Addison got anther surprise as a result from his abduction. He thought it might just be some side effects from the space travel, but soon he was exhibiting the tell-tale signs of pregnancy

The pregnancy really made Addie crave cheesecake... it was the weirdest thing... ((does cheesecake work for Alien Abduction pregnancies???))

Unfortunately, tragedy struck twice that day. The family lost their beloved Collie, Maxx just before noon

Then later in the evening, Grimm came back to take Kelly to be reunited with Clayton

Like her husband, Kelly had a great life full of knowledgeable pursuits and a large family so she contentedly went to join her husband in the great sim beyond

Kelly also left behind a hefty insurance policy

The young family was very sad losing both heads of household in the same week. But life must go on and it was time for Harley-Quinn to grow into a child.

Harley-Quinn grew up into a very outgoing and playful child.

Harley-Quinn Teer - Sagittarius

Harley-Quinn was pretty demanding on her parent's time, always wanting to play and be entertained by them. She got very grossed out when she caught them making out in the dining room one morning before she went off to school

When her parent's needed alone time, Harley-Quinn usually busied herself with the video game console in the living room

((Kelly and Clayton were my first CAS adults to kick the bucket, it was sad! I'll probably be really upset when the CAS kids start to go, luckily I have a few rounds before that happens hopefully! Other than the deaths and abduction the round was rather uneventful. Stella had a lot of days off so they just spent time skilling and making friends. I want Stella to get pregnant again but InTeen didn't come through for me!!! No lack of trying though, they woohooed lots this round but to no avail. At least there will be green babies from Addison. I downloaded a multi-pollination tech hack [no CC version] to get a little genetic diversity with my alien babies, and hopefully prettier aliens. Harley-Quinn will be a Romance sim, so I'm going to try and accomplish ASimWen's String Me challenge with her. In accordance with the rules Harley-Quinn will not do any skilling from this point on, but more on that later when she ages. We're going to check up on the Eich's next!))

Pushard (R9)

Here we go, the beginning of Round 9! When last we visited the Pushard House, the family pursued lots of hobbies, Victoria continued to date Emmett Hoppes and Allan and Jaiden rekindled their attraction for one another. James transitioned into a teen highly resembling Jay Leno and declaring a Fortune aspiration. As a surprise for James, Jaiden purchased a family business, Here or Else grocery that she hoped to pass along to him when he graduated from college. How will Victoria get along now that Emmett is in college? Will James continue to be successful on his fortune sim path?

Since it was Saturday and she had the day off, Jaiden decided to invite 20 of her closest friends over for a little Saturday afternoon brunch

Her friends were a pretty diverse bunch but they all managed to get along well

Everyone got along so well in fact that the party turned out to be a good time for everyone.

The party put Jaiden in a wonderful mood and she was able to maximize her lifetime aspiration meter

While his mom was entertaining her guests, James kept up with the garden. Jaiden made it pretty clear that he would have to know a lot about produce to successfully run the store when he inherited it. Despite earning a Silver gardening badge, James still had a lot to learn.

While James was out working in the greenhouses he saw a very strange sight...

Since most of the vegetables were ripening, Jaiden helped James with the harvest after her party concluded

The other residents of the house also kept busy that Saturday afternoon. Victoria, missing Emmett and doubting that he was 100% behaving himself at uni, called up a friend of hers, Keith, for a date

And Allan, not really feeling in the social mood, holed himself up in the rec room at the pottery wheel. He had gotten so good that he earned his Gold pottery badge

Later that night, Keith brought by a nice thank you gift for the wonderful time he and Victoria had

The next day, after returning from work, James gussied up a bit and headed downtown to spend some of the money that was burning a hole in his pocket

Downtown he ran into someone that got his attention and made his heart flutter. Despite sweating profusely, James was able to keep his cool around Magenta.

James had seen Magenta Devivio around school but she was Victoria's age and he was pretty sure that he wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell of ever being more than friends with her. Imagine his surprise when she called the next morning before school...

On Monday, Jaiden headed to Bluewater to open up the grocery. Business was booming and the profits warranted hiring another employee, a young lady named Vanessa Chen

Vanessa didn't really do too well on the cash register, so Jaiden decided that she might do better selling products to customers

Jaiden was also working the crowd and managed to earn her Gold sales badge

Despite being a good employee at the beginning of the day, Vanessa started to take unscheduled breaks

Jaiden tried to talk to Vanessa before she left for the evening, but she didn't seem to be getting through to her

The next day, Vanessa refused to come to work at all

James continued to maintain top grades, a good after school job, and even manged to continue helping Jaiden in the garden. He was learning a lot about the different crops and was rewarded with his Gold gardening badge

By the end of the week, it was time for Victoria to head off to Sim State to join her boyfriend, Emmett. She had already applied for scholarships

All that was left to do was hop the taxi and head off to enjoy college life

((This was a pretty uneventful play session in this house. The teens just socialized and worked on hobbies and skilling, Allan didn't do much of anything, and Jaiden worked at the shop. James is super-man, he goes to school, goes to his job, works in the garden and on his skills and still has time for the ladies! I totally didn't expect him to have an attraction for Magenta Devivio but I think it could work out. Magenta is older than James and will be headed to Uni this round so we'll see how things go. Hopefully Victoria heading to college will keep both her and Emmett satiated but with a romance/pleasure pairing I highly doubt it. As far as the jar card, Vanessa didn't quit despite her little orb being deep red, she did, however, take lots and lots of breaks so it was kinda useless to keep her around. Hopefully she'll quit next round ::grins:: P.S. the new profile pages that I shamelessly ripped off of J68's Mattsmyra are up and running for the most part, each link is listed under the bottom of the family portrait. I have the first couple families done -- by family name not lot -- the rest will be added as I get to their lots so they will be complete by the end of Round 9. Let me know what you think! Vacation

Hey Folks,

I'll be on vacation until December 8th with extremely limited (if any) internet access. The original 5 lots plus a little of university is played for Round 9 and the pictures are edited (for the most part) so I'll be updating when I get back. Until then... BonVoyage!

University G4

Here we are for our final University Lot and the official end of Round 8. This entry we'll check on Emmett and Marty Hoppes and how they are doing at university.

Emmett and Marty got settled into their rental but they ended up spending a lot of time across the street at the rental of Angelica, Flora and Seirra. When things started to go south with Angelica and Sierra, the boys started to spend more time at their own place

Soon after getting settled, the twins declared their majors. Emmett chose a Physics major because that's what his mom had done and she had achieved her want of being a Game Designer

Marty, not having a career goal chose to study something he enjoyed, Philsophy

Marty and Emmett spent a lot of time at the student center meeting their peers. They quickly made friends with lots of people on campus

Emmett, not content to sit around and wait for Victoria to get to college, decided that there was no harm in going on a few dates with the lovely college ladies prowling around campus

Emmett was perplexed when a limo showed up one night at the rental

the driver handcuffed and blindfolded him and stuffed him in the back of the limo. Needless to say, Emmett was a little frightened

Emmett was happy to learn that it was just an elaborate initiation ritual to the campus Secret Society and laughed when he saw his friends there

They made him promise not to ruin the surprise for Marty... So the next night when the limo showed up, Emmett tried to show genuine concern for his brother's abduction

For the brothers getting inducted into the Secret Society was a treat. They had learned that their dad had also been a member when he attended Sim State.

Marty continued to see Sierra regularly, it was a lot more convenient for her to come over to his rental than for her to invite him over and be victim to Angelica's evil stares. Another benefit to visiting Marty at his place was the double bed

Emmett, being supremely jealous of Marty having his girlfriend at college with him, called the matchmaker to spend some of his scholarship dollars on trying to meet more eligible ladies. He didn't want word to spread around the Secret Society that he was a womanizer, he was far from it

Despite his best efforts, the matchmaker summoned a teen for him to date! He quickly ended the date and hoped that Elizabeth wouldn't tell Victoria about the incident in school the next day.

Life went on as usual, the twins mostly went to class, hung out with friends, and played games. Life was hard for two bachelors though since they actually had to fend for themselves. Marty eventually got so good at cooking though that he earned a recognition plaque from the local Culinary club

((Round 8 is officially done! I'm torn about breaking university into so many households. On the plus side, it's a lot more manageable with only a few sims in each house. On the other hand, cramming 6-8 sims in a house makes for less time actually spent playing univerisity and pushing them through faster. I might try another household of 6 sims next round again. This round was a pretty straightforward round. The guys did their own thing. Admittedly, I have started killing off Fug townies. You may have noticed the Cow Plant at the Secret Society in the background of Emmett's induction pic. Well here's a close-up of the cow plant's midnight snack:

We'll start Round 9 with a visit to the Pushard house))
