The Main page was getting cluttered! Now that Blogger has added static pages, it makes it much easier to keep things somewhat organized without having to forward-date posts and keep them at the top. Anyway, I've set up pages for: Past Rounds' Table of Contents; the Score Sheets; and Silvervale Profile Pages. The Current Round entries is still listed at the bottom of this post. I'm planning to start doing some round recaps so that new readers don't have to read every individual entry to catch up if they don't want to... that's the next project on the list.

Some arbitrary rules I'm setting for myself:

Starting in Round 8, lots will be played for 5 sims days, uni will be played 2 years at a time. Each uni household will have a separate update scattered throughout the round. (this is an experiment I might go back to 7)

Starting in Round 8 I will be drawing slips from JavaJan's Jar Challenge. I reserve the right to add or omit slips in accordance with the Prosperity Rules (i.e. I will not have slips like killing off sims) or if i feel like it.

Teens will be sent to uni when they have 3-5 days left on their age meter before turning into adults if a) they have a LTW that requires a uni degree b) if they have the want when they are due to be sent... if they don't meet one of these criteria, they may not go

The oldest male child in the household will become heir, if there are no male children, the heir will be the youngest female. If there are male twins, the one with the most "stable" aspiration will become heir (stability ranks: family, knowledge, fortune, popularity, pleasure, romance) -- this may also change depending on population expansion

If there is a placeholder servo/sim on the lot (when a heir is off at uni) that lot will be excluded from the rounds until the heir returns to the neighborhood, similarly, if there is a placeholder at uni it will be excluded from the round until there are neighborhood YA's attending

I have InTeen installed so only family sims or sims that have an active "have baby" want will use the "try for baby" option. All other sims will woohoo as normal taking their chances. Birth control will be used accordingly for population control.

I used a dice randomizer and a random name generator for my determination round.

Apologies for not updating much lately... I got TS3 for Christmas and I've been playing it a lot :p I'm definitely not giving up TS2, but now I have to divide my time between them. Also, if you're interested, I have a Tumblr where I post random pics, it's much less commitment than blogging so I feel like I'm much more active there, feel free to follow if you'd like :) Now on to the update...

Last time we visited Flora and Annatto, they were raising their first son, Camron, and more puppies for Annatto's LTW. Flora discovered she was pregnant with another bundle of joy. Jack met Kimi Tanaka from Rosebud and fell head over heels for her, at the end of the round he moved out to be with Kimi. Camron transitioned into a very cute child, and Flora gave birth to another boy that they named Ferris (who turned out to be a personality clone of Camron). Lets see how they get on this round.

Devivio (lot 6) Sunday-Friday

Flora and Annatto were more in love than ever

And they had two wonderful sons, their family was perfect. Ferris was turning out to be just like his older brother

Since Annatto was a stay at home dad, he had lot of time to spend with Ferris

Flora didn't want to be left out though, so she took advantage of her days off to teach Ferris the skills he would need

Camron was very outgoing and always wanted to invite friends over, luckily his cousin Kay lived right across the street and always wanted to come over to play

Flora made sure that Camron kept up with his study's too, she was always telling him the importance of keeping up with his schoolwork if he wanted to be successful

Camron didn't like doing homework, it was very hard for him to sit still that long and concentrate on one thing ((his fun is always completely tanked after school))

Camron would often get distracted with other things and had to be reminded to finish his homework

All of the hard work paid off in the end when Camron started to bring home A+'s

That evening it was time for Ferris to transition into childhood. Close family and friends were invited over for the party

Camron was excited that his brother was a little bit older, he was tired of hanging out with all his girl cousins

Flora definitely knew a thing or two about hard work. It didn't take long for her superiors to recognize the work she did around the Architecture firm, and she was promoted to the top of the field

The boys were so proud of their mom

Now that Ferris was older and didn't need as much attention, Annatto decided that he would start adopting more puppies... he couldn't stand the thought of all those puppies in the animal shelter, so he adopted a puppy named Carolina

Benny took to Carolina especially well, he was always grooming and playing with her

Unfortunately, ever since Benny matured into a full grown dog, there was tension between he and Sandi

Before the situation escalated more, Annatto decided to see if his sister wanted to adopt Sandi, he'd much rather give his well trained and raised dogs to family and friends than send them back to the shelter

Flora also had some things she wanted to take care of now that the boys were older. She hoped that getting them into private school would help stimulate them more than public school. That evening she invited the headmaster over for dinner

Annatto had heard that the headmaster's favorite meal was pork chops, so he whipped up some of his special recipe

Sure enough, both boys were admitted without a hitch

The end of the week brought another birthday, this time it was Camron's turn to transition into dreaded teen-hood

Camron chose a Family Aspiration with a penchant for fit blondes who don't wear jewelry

I adore this family, they are so easy to handle... Although I really have to get a move-on with Annatto's LTW. I was hoping the Sandi and Benny would get along well enough to try for puppies, but as soon as Benny grew up, all they did was fight with one another. Carolina is a small dog, so I don't think I can breed a large and small dog together... does anyone know if that's true? We're off to the next Devivio house in the rotation to check in on Carla, Connor, Gibson and Kay... stay tuned!

Hoppes (R12)

Last time at the Hoppes household, with both Lorraine and Sierra working non-stop, Sierra's salon reached level 10. Sierra celebrated by buying Lucky Shack Cards and Drink. The twins grew up into adorable, but mean, toddlers... then into children later in the round. Lorraine received the Corner Store, a robotics shop, for her graduation present, then headed off to university. Sierra ended the round pregnant.

Marty was really doing great at the architecture firm, he was just the kind of forward thinker that the firm was looking for, and they rewarded him handsomely for thinking outside the box

Unfortunately for Marty, it seemed that between having two children and a pregnant wife at home, he was working too hard at the job... sometimes he was very low on sleep ((whoops, he had already gone to work when I opened the lot >.<))

He wouldn't have to deal with a pregnant wife for very much longer though...

Sierra gave birth to their third (and hopefully final) child, a little girl named Clara

Now that the baby was born, Sierra could get back to work at her new business. Here's a slideshow of my Lucky Shack Cards and Drink makeover :)

She hired a good friend, Melissa Fancey to work the bar

Melissa cleans up pretty nicely I must say

The business was really off to a good start, the tables were always full of guests

And the karaoke machine was a big hit

Even Mrs. Crumplebottom seemed to approve

Things were also going really well at home. The twins brought home A+ report cards

Marty is thinking, "if I ignore him, maybe he'll go away." I guess we can all see that Jennifer is the favorite here

Jennifer was already becoming very popular with the kids here age. Her younger cousin, Veronica, really looked up to her

She was definitely turning into the "mean girl" of the neighborhood though

Biff enjoyed playing with the dog more than hanging out with his sister and her friends

The twins even enjoyed quality time with their grandparents

Soon it was time for Clara's birthday, Sierra made sure she was home for the birthday party

Clara transitioned into a gorgeous toddler ((actually she's a clone of Jennifer... double Hoppes Mean girls should be fun to play))

((This household always takes up a lot of time because of the businesses. The venue really is easy to play though and builds stars on its own. I had a lot of fun making over the lot -- I actually had Sierra sell the lot back then repurchase it, so I didn't have to load up the household, then load the lot in order to renovate it. Jennifer cracks me up, she's so social but sooooo mean. When she and Dulci were interacting, Dulci didn't get the hint and kept trying to tell her jokes, etc, but Jennifer would keep blowing her off. It was amusing. One out-take for you:

Amar... that's not really an appropriate outfit for carrying your toddler granddaughter around in...

This is the furthest I've played, I've been working on my Secret Santa gift for the past couple weeks and haven't had much of a chance to play. But gift delivery is next week, so I'll be back to playing after that.))

Last time at the Devivio house, Frank moved back home with his girlfriend, Whitney, and twin sister, Magenta, in tow. Frank and Whitney tied the knot and soon had their first (of 6) children, a girl named Veronica. Magenta also realized she was pregnant with James Pushard's baby, and gave birth to her first (of 6), a son named Frederick. Eddie continued dating Byron Wade and caught the unwanted attention of Byron's mom. Frank also reached TOC in the music career earning a bonus that will put him closer to his LTW of earning 100,000 simoleans

Devivio (lot 4) Sunday-Friday

Magenta and James' relationship was very strained since he returned back home from Sim State. Since Magenta's plans to move with him to his family home were put on hold, she looked for a nice little home for her and Frederick... Her parents' place was getting a little crowded

Magenta and Frederick's departure opened up two free bedrooms in the house, so Frank and Whitney could try for more babies

Having Guy and Sofia around was a great help since they planned to have at least 6 children

The Elder Devivio's knew that they weren't long for this world yet, so they tried to spend as much time with the children and grandchildren as they could

Sofia was especially helpful taking care of Veronica while Frank was at work

Just because Sofia and Guy were attentive grandparents didn't mean that Frank would let them raise Veronica. Even with his hectic schedule he still tried to spend a lot of time with her

Teaching her to talk was the highlight of his week and pushed him over the edge of his lifetime aspiration meter

Frank's timing couldn't have been better; Whitney soon learned that she was pregnant again and being perma-plat would certainly help him take better care of her

Their second child turned out to be a boy, they named him Brodie

Little Brodie was born just in time for Veronica's birthday

Veronica grew up really favoring her grandma, Sofia

She also managed to inherit Frank's music gene, and loved to play the piano, even at all hours of the night

Eddie was just itching to get out of the house and go off to spend 4 glorious baby-free years at university. She was always bragging about all the scholarships she would get

Until the day came when Eddie could cash in those scholarships, she tried to get out of the house as much as she could. Being the oldest child in his large family, Byron was happy to indulge her

Guy was getting older, he needed someone to take up the mantle of his business enterprise... who better than his son and heir

It didn't take long for Frank to rise up and take over Guy's position

Retirement left Guy a lot more time to smell the flowers

and pursue other activities

((This house definitely was more entertaining than the Eichs... I guess 7 sims crammed in will do that. I was holding my breath all round because I thought Guy and Sofia were going to croak :( They most definitely will next round, and I'll probably cry. Also, Eddie did leave for university at the end of the round. It'll be a while before I play it though because Gibson and Byron are slated to go this round as well... and I still hvae 6 lots to play before I get to the Wades. Can anyone guess the naming theme of the third generation of the Devivio clan?))

Eich (R12)

Revenge is a re-run tonight (/lame) so I'm doing a blog post instead... Maybe 2 if I can stand typing out two posts on our crappy laptop.

Last time at the Eich's, Alcea and Astilbe transitioned into teens, both declaring Popularity Aspirations. One of the dogs also gave birth to some puppies who were given up for adoption. That's about all that's about all that is exciting. This round, nothing really happened either... Just waiting for the twins to be old enough to go to uni.

Being Knowledge sims, Melody and Darren were always pleased to help the kids get prepared for University

The kids weren't always interested in learning though...

Alcea's LTW is to have 20 Pet Best friends, so why not start with their own dogs?

Astilbe brought Nexis Teer home from school, and they hit it off quickly

... Very quickly ...

These shots are just to prove Darren and Melody still exist :p

Astilbe wanted to sneak out with Nexis... he chose a bad time to do it though

((Sorry, lame post is lame, but there really wasn't anything going on in this house this round. The teens are just biding time until University. I'm pleasantly surprised that Astilbe and Nexis got along so well... Yay for my sims making decisions on their own :) Devivio's are up next, and there's a lot more going on in that hosuehold))

Teer (R12)

Last time at the Teer's, the kids enjoyed playing outside in the summer while Addison and Stella continued to work on their LTWs. Harley-Quinn got a bird for her birthday that she named Twain. She grew up into a Romance Teen with a LTW to reach the top of the Artist career. She tried to mack on the goth downtownie, but got rejected, but ended up getting her first kiss from fellow romancer, Nicholas Devivio. Later in the round, Addison reached TOC in Journalism, and fulfilled his LTW; Stella reached TOC in Intelligence. This round, the twins grow up into teenagers. Lets see how they're doing...

Lot 2 (Teer): Sunday-Friday

Harley-Quinn must be a closeted Family Sim, she's always caring for her younger siblings

And she continues to care for her bird Twain

Unfortunately one evening someone left his cage door open... it took a lot of chasing to get him back into his cage

All the stresses of the day must have taken a toll on Twain because the next morning the family found him dead in his cage

The Teer kids were definitely a social group, they were always bringing friends home from school, like their cousins Wendy and Oscar ((I think this is Oscar, Brad and Tessa have too many for me to keep track of!))

The kids really required a lot of attention, Addie and Stella were surprised all their after school play dates didn't tire them out

Of course it was no surprised that Lexis and Nexis wanted to have a big birthday bash for their Teen transitions, all their family and friends were invited for their special day

Lexis was the slightly older twin, so she transitioned first

She declared a Pleasure Aspiration and is apparently turned on by homeless men

Nexis grew up next

Nexis decided she wanted to make a lot of money, and she wanted her Partner to live up to her high standards

Addison and Stella were grateful that Wiley was the only child in the house... it was much easier to keep up with one child's homework, than 4

Wiley was definitely turning out to be the "smart kid" in the family, and he was obsessed with school

All the extra attention helped Wiley make top grades very quickly

It also was good for both of the Adult's careers, Stella continued to advance in her desired Adventure career path

Addie was able to put a lot more energy into his job since he wasn't losing as much sleep with the kids... and the extra energy paid off

Despite their girls being Teens and more responsible, they were still a handful... They couldn't keep Harley-Quinn away from the boys

And they were always making off-color jokes about their heritage (something Stella didn't really find amusing)

Even when the headmaster was around, it was hard to keep the girls reigned in...

Though the headmaster didn't really seem to mind, Teens will be Teens afterall

Yes, Teens will be Teens, and Addie and Stella wouldn't have it any other way...

((Awww I love these guys, and the twins turned out soooooo adorable! Though I'm not too terribly thrilled with Lexis' LTW after just doing it with Colubia... maybe I'll reroll her in Uni... I want a primary Grilled Cheese sim /ponders... Addie and Stella will transition into Elders next round, it's hard to believe my G2 babies are getting to be elders!!! Anyway, a few bloopers:

Between the Wade clan and the Devivio-Ramirez Clan, its a wonder anyone in the neighborhood has a newspaper, ever... This round's paper thief seems like it's going to be Gabriel Ramirez.

Pushard (R12)

Last time at the Pushards, Jaiden and Allan were boring Elders. Jaiden worked at the Grocery store and Allan helped by working in the greenhouses. They also went on vacation to Takemezu Village and finally got married. This week, James is back from University.

Lot 1 (Pushard) Sunday-Friday
James Pushard, Allan Pushard, Jaiden Pushard, dog: Simon

James was officially back from college, Allan hoped that all James did was hit the books and didn't party like he did back at university

James was ready and willing to pitch in around the household. Everyone pitched in working in the orchard and greenhouse and made sure that they had a good harvest for their season at the store

Being back home and an adult, James could appreciate the finer things in life... he decided that his secondary aspiration would be Grilled cheese. All those melty layers of cheese between perfectly toasted bread... was there anything better to life?

With the store and his parents both still working their full time jobs, James didn't necessarily need a job, but he decided to get one anyway, even though it wasn't in his desired field ((Law))

Jaiden and Allan, despite being older, didn't act much older than they did as Adults. Jaiden kept her figure nicely ((looks like she got hit with my default replacement binge))

Allan was also acting younger than his age would imply... You'd never think a man pushing 60 would be caught dead running naked through the town, but Allan didn't care and it paid off in the end

James had other things on his mind... he had two relationships going with two women. He wished he could keep things going with both, but it was time to make a choice ((I summoned both Magenta and Lorraine and let James friendly hug both of them then waited for ACR to kick in...))

Everyone seemed to be getting along fine

Then James made his move... he didn't want to hurt Magenta, but he just couldn't resist Lorraine. Magenta didn't even seem to care

Yup... looks like James made his choice

Allan and Jaiden kept themselves busy... James was an adult now and he could make his own decisions, they just hoped that it wouldn't cause them not to see their new grandson once in a while ((remember: Magenta and James have a toddler son))

Allan kept himself busy with his gardening blog

Jaiden always had people to keep contact with... she had lots of friends in her phonebook and only 24 hours in the day to keep up with all of them

There were also the naps... the glorious, glorious naps

Yes, Jaiden and Allan had much more important things to worry about than their son's love life

Lorraine continued to come home on weekends from Sim State to visit James, he still didn't have the heart to break the news to Magenta though

((Despite James being home, this house was incredibly boring to play. All the occupants did was work in the garden to replenish the stock of the grocery store and work on their hobbies/relationships. The mini bachelor challenge was kinda fun and helped James make his pick, although I had a feeling he was going to pick Lorraine... I think it will work out better for both of them because they are both Fortune Sims... Magenta can do much better. A quick funny for you: Suzi doesn't approve of James and Lorraine's relationship

We didn't see much of Vinaya and Kennedy in the last university update because they were well-behaved and boring. But now their back in Silvervale, lets see how their first week as adults went.

Smith (lot 18) Monday-Saturday

Things got off to a somewhat rocky start for Kennedy and Vinaya... Lindsay Wade came by to steal the paper as soon as it was dropped off (these Wade kids are bad news!)

She then proceeded to run through the house and out the front door with it...

Kennedy was more worried about Lindsay reading his diary than her making off with their newspaper

Luckily there was enough money in the budget for a computer and they were both able to find suitable jobs... Kennedy in architecture and Vinaya in journalism

Things on their first night didn't get much better... Neither Vinaya nor Kennedy picked up much cooking skill during college so dinner making didn't go so well

The biggest plus to their shiney new house was breaking in the shiney new bed...

The first day on the job didn't go so well for Kennedy, he received a demotion for a bad decision at work

Vinaya was doing a little better on her first day at work. She got a promotion to Obituary writer on her first day...

and the next day she managed to bring home a little bonus (Yay! now they can buy a real couch!)

Kennedy's demotion didn't last long and he got promoted back to his previous position within a few days

Vinaya also continued to do well at work (although I don't know what she does all day as a journalist for her hygiene to tank from full to empty by the time she gets home...)

The couple was also able to start making friends at work, and enjoyed some luxury to fix up their home more to their tastes

They were even able to afford some nice new toys for their house

... and a few dates

The cooking at Londoste was way better than anything they could make at home

Kennedy had made one purchase without Vinaya's knowledge... it was something he had been wanting to give her since before they graduated university

Vinaya was on such a high after her engagement that she was doling out love advice in her column

Unfortunately her judgment was a little bit clouded

Despite the bad advice, Vinaya still managed a promotion that day

Kennedy also managed to bring home another promotion

the couple could really use the bonuses because it was the night they had invited friends and family over to help them celebrate their wedding

((Next time -- two pregnant sims at the same time and BABIES! I can't believe Kennedy got abducted as soon as the limo dropped him off... he was only trying to get the 2 logic points he needed for his next promotion. After Anise and Keith not conceiving, I'm glad these two are going to have some little ones running around. It gives me motivation to play through another round :) I kinda love these two so I purposely put them at the end so I'd be excited to play. This is the end of Round 11... Round 12 will start back at the Pushard's where we'll see if James chooses his baby-mama Magenta, or his mistress Lorraine... 50 simoleans says it'll be Lorraine... stay tuned!))

Last time we saw Columbia, she was whoring it up at Sim State... now she's whoring it up back in Silvervale!

Columbia rented a one bedroom apartment down the street from her family home

After signing her lease she got to meet some of the neighbors (prospective future first dates!)

Then she invited an old friend over to continue her pleasure pursuits

It didn't take Columbia long to get "back in the swing" after leaving university

Date #31: Phil Harris

Phil hooked Columbia up with a low-level position in the Science field... after all she needed to fund all those dates

She actually managed to do as well at work as she did in the dating world

She even managed to get a promotion

... ok back to the dates ...

Date #34: Russ Bear

All of the dating opened up new social possibilities for Columbia, she was getting calls for outings several times per day

Considering Gilbert's past exploits, this might shape up to be a fun night...

Columbia started off the night in the photobooth... to get some photos taken

Then the outing turned into a date

it didn't take long for Columbia to visit the photobooth for a second time that night, this time with Gilbert in tow

and after the photobooth, Gilbert's past came back to slap him over the head... literally

To wrap up the week, Columbia snuck in a few more dates

((I'm going to be really happy to get Columbia's LTW out of the way, although I'm not sure what I'll do with her once it's achieved. Maybe we'll see if she wants to settle down with any of her past conquests. Not really much else to say, she spent the whole round dating and knocked out 10 more in the 5-day round. I moved Vinaya and Kennedy into their house, but I haven't played them yet. It shouldn't take too long to play through their house and then that's the end of Round 11! It only took me more than a year to play/blog... ))

We last saw Anise and Keith as the most well behaved couple at the Annya Var house. Now they're back in the hood so lets see what they get up to...

With some help from Anise's family, and some money leftover from their college scholarships, Anise and Keith were able to afford a nice home back in Silvervale (too bad they were only able to sparsely furnish it after moving in!)

After settling into the house, they went by Bluewater Village to get some new clothes... BE GONE green puffy vest that Keith transitioned into!

Keith managed to stumble upon a high paying job in his preferred field of Business on his day of adulthood

That evening, they had some family and friends over for a small housewarming party

Being a CEO of a major company was something Keith always desired... although he wasn't expecting that the company would send a helicopter to pick him up on his first day on the job

The job fit Keith so well that it didn't take him long to reach the top of the field, and fulfill his lifetime want in the process

Even after the big promotion, things were quiet in the household. Neither Keith, nor Anise were in any hurry to get married or have children... (neither rolled the wants and there weren't any chimes /sadface). Most evenings they just sat around and read

Or napped...

It took Anise a little bit longer, but she was finally able to land a mid-level position in the Intelligence career

The success in the job market allowed Anise enough aspiration points to declare a secondary aspiration... being raised on Grilled Cheese, it was no question what she would choose

Last time we saw Jack, he was still living with his daughter, Flora, and her new family. He fell instantly in love with a beautiful walk-by, Kimi Tanaka, from Rosebud and decided that he would give up everything to be with her. He bestowed his business to Flora, took two of the dogs, Cookie and Jake, and the few possessions that he wanted, and moved downtown to be with Kimi. Lets see how things went for these two in their first week of life together.

Tanaka/Cooper (lot 15) Monday-Saturday

Kimi lived in an adorable little loft style house downtown (made my An_nas)

She had a quiet life up until the point when she met Jack...

She had always thought she wanted to be with as many people as she could (LTW: Woohoo with 20 sims) until she met him...

Kimi also had a quiet little job... she worked in the science career as an inventor... it wasn't glamorous, but it definitely paid the bills

Plus she got to invent really cool stuff

Jack didn't work (much) since he was a Hall of Famer, he only had to be available for speaking arrangements and appearances. It gave him a good amount of time to just socialize

((the welcome wagon consisted of Frank Devivio, Vinaya Devivio, Kennedy Smith, and fellow downtownie, Camryn Gergis))

The guests even stuck around until Kimi got off work later that evening

Even the dogs seemed to be settling in OK

Kimi even liked helping out with the dogs

Despite the changes, life for these two tended to be pretty normal

On the rare occasions that Jack did have to go into work, Kimi found that she tended to be lonely during the day. She would routinely invite over [male] friends to share the afternoons

Just because she had a live-in boyfriend... ahem... finance... didn't mean that she had to stop sewing her wild oats

Plus, it's not like Jack really cared that much...

((so, I <3 Kimi so much... and she's totally going to achieve her LTW :) You'll notice that Jack got a full week playtime in his old house, then another full week of playtime here... I kinda want him to age more quickly because I know he'll probably be around at least 2 more rounds and he was just a convenient excuse to get Kimi into my hood. Anyway, these two are surprisingly mundane for two Romance Sims. Anyway, short and sweet... Anise and Keith are up next, stay tuned!))

Hoppes 2 (R11)

Last time, Victoria moved in with Emmett, got knocked up, and ended up having a shotgun wedding (hey! she and Emmett both had the wants to get married). I'm excited to see how the baby looks... lets get to it, shall we?

Emmett and Victoria always managed to find ways to entertian themselves... Emmett had his Arts enthusiasm and was always painting, he even earned recognition from the local Arts society

most of the time though, they just hung out on the couch and played video games

Victoria was also an excellent cook, and was always looking to get feedback on new dishes for her restaurant endeavors

Even throughout the pregnancy, they both still found time to head downtown in the evenings after Emmett got home from work

Uhmmmm... Victoria... do you really think that's a good idea considering the advanced stages of your pregnancy?

The outing must have induced labor, because as soon as they arrived home, it was baby time!

Victoria gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, with pale blue eyes, pale skin and dark hair. They named her Brianna

As unlikely of parents as Emmett and Victoria seemed to be... Brianna definitely wasn't starved for attention

Since the baby was just born, and these two have small families, I decided a family Sunday wouldn't crash my game and invited both households over the traditional way

The grandparents talked about finances in the front yard

There was also so smustle with the younger generation

And where did Lorraine and James go? mmhmm... newly installed hottub - oy!

Since everyone was out gathering in the front yard, Victoria had the opportunity to greet walk-by, Neal Cleary, from Rosebud

I forgot that Lorraine was "friends" with Neal ((Lorraine is really seriously a huge skank biscuit...))

Everyone was excited to meet Brianna as well, Sierra was especially excited pending the arrival of another baby in their household as well

Family Sunday wrapped up with the relaxing tai chi before everyone headed home for the evening

Life was going well for these two. Emmett was working hard in his gamer career and was swiftly promoted to Game Designer

Maybe it was Victoria's superb cooking skills, or maybe it ran in the family, but Emmett decided that he really had a desire for Grilled cheese more often than not

The birth of Brianna combined with their job and general life success allowed Emmett and Victoria to max out their Lifetime Aspiration points as well

Despite being younger and having to take time off for maternity leave, Victoria was definitely not lagging too far behind her husband in job success

It didn't hurt that she was able to make work friends very easily. She had made a new friend in the business, the beautiful Imelda Vinci (also from the neighboring town of Rosebud)

They got along so well in fact that they decided they'd like to hang out more -- each one hoped that having a friend in the business would mean more promotions, more quickly

Things were progressing on the house front too... the steady increase in their salaries allowed them to improve the living conditions in the house... Emmett was most pleased with the new fireplace they had installed

Even with new toys installed, Emmett was always wanting to improve the house in some way, shape, or form

Pssst... Emmett... you're supposed to be a PLEASURE sim... not a FORTUNE sim...

Their little girl was growing up fast... Victoria went to her mom's store to pick up a cake and some miscellaneous groceries for the birthday party

When Victoria got home from work, it was time for a quick family birthday party, Emmett did the honors of taking Brianna to her cake

She turned into a gorgeous little lady who was sure to be a heartbreaker when she grew up

Emmett continued in his unlikely role of doting father and delighted in teaching his little princess new skills

It was also a favorite pass time for both of them to play some peek-a-boo before bedtime

Parenthood was one game that Emmett wasn't expecting but found he liked very much :)

((Well I certainly didn't expect such an adorable, functional family out of these two. Honestly, Victoria couldn't really care less about the baby, but Emmett usually wants to spend every waking minute with her, which is super cute. His wants bar is either filled with "buy me stuff" wants or "Brianna" wants. Until family Sunday, I kinda forgot that James was Victoria's brother and Lorraine was Emmett's sister, but they obviously want to be together... Though it looks like Lorraine isn't too picky.../sigh. Now it's time to start the new households on the playlist. Another Rosebud transplant -- Kimi Tanaka -- and her beau Jack Copur are up next and I'm super excited because I <3 Kimi so much!))

Last Round was full of birthdays -- Tessa gave birth to twin boys, Gabriel and Oscar who later transitioned into toddlers; Xavier and Nina transitioned into children; Carmen transitioned into a teen and declared a Pleasure Aspiration with a LTW to become a Celebrity Chef. Brad and Tessa also finally got married. Brad got abducted by aliens and was very, very upset about it. I've installed the more sims per lot hack (mostly for my ISBI... but it should come in handy with this household too). Lets see how things go shall we...

Devivio (lot 13) Friday-Wednesday

Brad was super hungry all the time (despite his clothes not showing as man-ternity wear!) so of course he enjoys grilled cheese frequently... even for breakfast)

Perhaps the cheese was undercooked, because Brad felt strange pains after breakfast while he was studying for his next promotion

Nope, Brad, those are definitely labor pains

He gave birth to a happy, healthy, blonde little girl he that he named Dulcinea
((if it was a boy I had Quixote picked out for the name... so I figured I'd stick with the theme :p))

Since Dulci was born in the morning, and Tessa was a stay-at-home mom... Brad decided that he would try going into work that afternoon... and it was a good thing he did because the school was having some trouble with students sleeping in class

The local college was so impressed with Brad's handling of the situation that they offered him a professorship

That evening was birthday time for the next set of twins in the house -- Gabriel and Oscar

After helping the boys blow out their candles they turned into adorable young men

With the kids out of the house for a bit, Brad and Tessa had some time for other extracurricular activities ((Tessa needs one more biological baby for her LTW...))

Weekends were always a treat in the Devivio household, especially family breakfast

I've never used this game before ((and I forget what it's called)) but I bought them one in hopes of getting the kids' fun levels up

Nina is a total Film and Literature nerd ((girl after my own heart)) and prefers to sit in the study reading books most of the day

Later that evening it was time for yet another birthday... Dulci was turning into a toddler

Her daddy brought her to the cake and helped her blow out the candles

After everyone was finished eating their cake, Tessa noticed that she was putting on some weight... too much birthday cake right...

Instead of family Sunday... Brad and Tessa decided to invite the equally large Wade family over for brunch ((A look into the crystal ball told me that Carmen and Michael might be a good match /grins))

The Devivio and Wade Clans seemed to be getting along swimmingly

Tessa is wondering if Brittany swelled up like a beach ball when she gave birth to her 2 sets of twins too...

The crystal ball was right, Michael and Carmen share two bolts

They decided to ditch the parental and family units and head downtown to FM for a date. Things started off kinda slow... the getting-to-know-you phase is always the most difficult :p

But then things started to heat up

Don't worry... they just got pictures taken

Then they sang a duet ((it took Carmen a couple of tries to convince Michael to sing a duet with her... is this a too-low relationship score or does it have something to do with shy/outgoing points?))

Last but not least they cut a rug on the dancefloor and it looks like Michael's twin, Lindsay decided to follow them out

Later that evening, Michael even dropped off a small thank you gift to commemorate their date

Time for moar birthdays! This time was Nina and Xavier's turn to transition into teens

Nina went first and turned into a lovely young lady with a Romance aspiration

The house was very large, but with such a HUGE family it still was difficult to get around sometimes... and there were always plenty of things to get done...

Despite lack of promotions, presumably from being exhausted from caring for his growing brood, Brad continued to do well at work

The bonus definitely helped in caring for the children and supported the never ending supply of birthday cake they seemed to need... Dulci was due for a birthday that evening when Brad returned home

Early on the last morning of the round, Tessa went into labor while the kids were getting ready for school

She gave birth to a baby boy, the only one bearing the Devivio name

((Yeah... so... this house is crazy, totally, utterly crazy. But I loved every minute of it. The kids are a hoot. It's so hard to get Brad the needed friends for the promotions because of all the insanity going on, I just didn't have time for them to socialize much... they did make headway with the Wade brood though since Brad knows Brittany from the Education career track. I'm pleased that one of Carmen's matches was a playable and since she has recessive blond I'm doubly pleased :) Also... how darn cute is Dulci! Oh my goodness she's definitely my new favorite... and her very extreme personality [0 playful / 0 nice] is just going to make her even more entertaining. No other comments but here's a silly blooper for you:

Nina... there are many other ways to get upstairs... but I'm glad you're concerned about your passed out twin... lol, silly sims

Last Round -- Vinaya and Mahran made lots of friends then Vinaya went off to University... that's about it. Lets see how things go this round

Ricky was doing great in his new career, he brought home a promotion very quickly after getting the position

Ricky needed a lot of logic for the new career, Mahran was always happy to help Ricky practice his chess skills

The family members were very excited that Vinaya had moved back from college and immediately invited her and her boyfriend, Kennedy over for dinner

Everyone was excited to get to know Kennedy better

Janet was especially excited to meet her soon-to-be son-in-law

There was another reason Vinaya and Kennedy were invited over that evening too... to help celebrate Mahran's transition into teenager-hood

Of course, Mahran and Vinaya still got along famously and Mahran couldn't wait to hear all about Vinaya's time at college (especially the parties!)

Mahran also wanted to get a job... unfortunately there wasn't any openings in the slacker career, so he settled for music

He also made sure to stop by Lorraine Hoppes' Electronics shop to pick up a cell phone

((Oh good... Lorraine is repulsed by Mahran... that's one less guy she'll try and sleep with))

Ricky's logic skills didn't do him any good the next day at work. During his lunch break he decided to let his boss win at a game

Needless to say, his boss was not very pleased when he found out

Mahran, on the other hand, was doing great his first day of work and earned a promotion that brought some more responsibility but honed his skills better

Despite his desire to top the Slacker career, Mahran was a very intelligent young man ((just don't tell him I told you so!)) and managed to excel at his after school job and finish his homework in time

He even managed to spend time with his family afterward

It didn't take long for his boss to recognize Mahran's talent and promoted him as high as he could for his age

((Well it was a short sweet little round in this household... definitely the calm before the storm in the next household. I can totally picture Mahran being like the underachieving stoner type of guy who is super smart but doesn't want to admit it to himself or anyone else, lol. Oh! And I'm also stoked to play Vinaya and Kennedy later in the round... I got them moved in and some slight makeover's done and I can't wait! Nothing else really to comment on so it's off to the Brad, Tessa and the army of children next!))

University Part 2 (R11)

Lorraine and James -- Fortune sims seem to be worse than Romance sims when it comes to promiscuity. Worst of all...

Lorraine was still on a date with Malcolm when this all went down

Lorraine was due for punishment so I set her to work beautifying townies

I think Lorraine may also have her eye on Anise's beau, she's always rolling up wants to socialize with Keith... no way sister, you're not breaking up any more happy households!

Luckily Keith only has eyes for Anise still

To keep her away from the men in the Greek House, Lorraine got put on leaf duty... and there were A LOT of leaves

Last Round the Wade household was completely insane! Bryon transitioned into a Teen and declared a Knowledge aspiration. He also discovered a spark with Eddie Devivio. The family arranged a visit with the headmaster, unfortunately everything went horribly wrong and the children were not admitted into private school. Maebe and Gob transitioned into toddlers, then later into very cute children. How will the family make out this week with the kids growing older and more self sufficient? Will the children finally be able to get into private school now that they are all of age? Lets see...

Wade (lot 11) Tuesday-Sunday

Maebe and Gob were really growing up, they were always bringing kids home from school, Gob and Wendy Vijayakar got along famously

With the kids being a lot more self sufficient, William and Brittany were able to concentrate on their careers. The extra time helped William to finally reach the top of the Law Enforcement career achieving his lifetime want in the process

Brittany also moved closer and closer to reaching the top of the Education Career (her LTW)

It didn't take Brittany long to continue to climb up to the top of the career ladder... she had 5 kids, and she wanted to make sure the University system was the best it could be with her children getting closer to college age

Brittany was on top of the world, reaching top of the Education Career and achieving her lifetime want

Unfortunately for William, his stay at the top was very short lived... he made a poor decision his first day on the job as Captain Hero

William wouldn't stay unemployed for long though, he figured if he could fight the scum of SimCity for the majority of his adult life, he could combat the other dangers facing their fair city and took a job in the Adventure Career

It didn't take the higher-ups long to notice William's skills he acquired in the Law Enforcement career and he was promoted almost immediately

The Wade children continued to grow up... Lindsay and Michael were getting older and were ready to transition into teenagers

Lindsay transitioned first into a lovely young lady with a Pleasure Aspiration.

Looks like Lindsay likes Men who perform mechanical tasks in their bathingsuits... but not if they have black hair

The Wades decided to give their Private School audition another try

Since it was the twins' birthday, they had to hurry up and finish their homework before the headmaster arrived

Brittany and William were still exhausted from having 5 children in the house (even if 3 of them were still teens). William managed to prepare dinner before he and Brittany headed off to bed

It would be up to Byron, Michael and Lindsay to entertain the headmaster

Luckily the teens did an impeccable job and everyone was accepted into the prestigious private school

All of the Wade children were incredibly social. Like her twin brother, Maebe made many friends at school and became friends with Phoebe Vijayakar

Lindsay was getting to know her school friends in a different way. She wanted to date as many boys as possible so she had to start somewhere and there were a lot of really really cute boys at her school. Zeeshan Langerak was the first of her many first dates

She even managed to get her first kiss from Zeeshan

Zeeshan was falling hard for Lindsay, little did he know that he had no chance with her ((nor do they have any bolts))

After their parents got home to take care of the younger siblings, the teens went off to Sims Gone Wired to hang out with some other neighborhood teens

Byron wanted some alone time with his girlfriend, so after playing some games and picking up cell phones, everyone headed back to the house to finish up the outing

They all enjoyed the bubble blower after dinnertime

Lindsay was turning into a very popular young lady, she was always spending time on the telephone

((Overall I like this house, it's challenging to play considering both parents are townies, so they don't have a million skills and aren't already set up for perfect lives. Wow! Lindsay is gorgeous! I kind of expected it because I packaged her up and sent her over to Shannon @ Rosebud but I'm, nonetheless, very pleased with how she turned out as a teen. I am not, however, not pleased with Miss Lindsay's LTW since Columbia is in the process of doing it too. Lindsay also has 2 bolts with Gibson Devivio and I'd prefer to playables to marry playables -- PLUS they are both redheads! -- so I may re-roll Lindsay in college. I'll probably also send Gibson's girlfriend, Allyn to University but make her a YA townie, to see who he chooses since Lindsay is 1 round behind him Uni wise. Speaking of University... that's up next))

Bad News (?)

My computer has been acting weird for the last couple months. One of the fans was super loud but after I cleaned it it seemed to be OK for a while, but I noticed last week when I was playing that the graphics on WoW were blinking when i was near water... Well, yesterday I turned the computer on and everything seemed to boot up fine (all the normal noises, etc) but I got no signal to the monitor. I went through the routine check that everything was plugged in properly and popped open the case to make sure everything was running. The computer was built for me by a friend and is nearly 4 years old, but still runs things well enough for my purposes. I'm thinking (and hoping) that it's just the gfx card or the power source, both of which would be fairly inexpensive to replace. Boyfriend and I are going to try some troubleshooting this weekend and hopefully it's just a matter of replacing one of those two components. Anyway, gaming is on hiatus for a little while until I get everything worked out... Now I don't have any excuse to put off that spring cleaning I've been meaning to do :p

I do have the pictures for the Wade's and University edited and uploaded, so I'll probably get to knocking out those two entries sometime soon, I'll probably start one today in fact :)

Teer 2 (R11)

Last Round, Wesley and Jeannie continued their swinger lifestyle. Jeannie was surprised when she found out she was pregnant and hoped that it was Wesley's baby. Jeannie gave birth to a little girl that they named Wendy, who did belong to Wes (though both parents were unsure of how exactly to take care of the newborn). Later in the round, Jeannie seduced the mailman and subsequently got knocked up by him. Jeannie hoped that Wesley wouldn't take notice to Phoebe's striking blue eyes, that only could have come from Pao. Lets see how everyone is getting along this round.

Teer (lot 10): Tuesday-Sunday

Wesley and Jeannie surprisingly turned out to be great parents once they got the hang of things... kids were actually fun to play with (who knew?)

Wes especially had fun helping Wendy learn how to talk, maybe one day she'd know enough to help him do line reading for his scripts

Both parents still had time to pursue their own interests while the girls were sleeping, which was nice

Since her maternity leave, Jeannie had taken up writing novels on the side... her slacker lifestyle and profession gave her plenty of ideas for plot lines and her novels were selling like hotcakes

Jeannie had also taken to gardening during her pregnancies, luckily the chemicals from the pesticides didn't affect the girls too much (she hoped!)

Since Wesley was a retired movie star, and Celebrity Chef... of course they both had high interests in movies and literature. Jeannie was excited when a co-worker suggested a movie marathon

Unfortunately...

Wesley also continues to pursue certain interests... he has a lot of free time now that he has reached the top of his career

Plus, Jeannie doesn't care too much that Wesley is sleeping with other women... on the contrary, she actually finds some of his girlfriends pretty interesting

The girls were growing up fast... Phoebe was set to have a birthday that evening

She grew up into an adorable toddler, but it was very obvious that she didn't at all resemble Wesley or his family

Phoebe turned out to be quite a playful child, she and Wendy got along famously and would amuse themselves for hours just scribbling on the playtable

Unfortunately, when it came time to teach Phoebe her skills, she wasn't as agreeable

Jeannie usually tender her garden at night, that way the plants wouldn't get burned by the sun's rays after being sprayed

This particular night, the fertilizer spray started to make Jeannie feel a little woozy...

(YAY! plantsim!)

Jeannie found her new condition very comfortable, she no longer needed to sleep or eat which left her free to partake in her hobbies and spend more time with the girls. She was glad that her plantsim-ism didn't affect her job performance either

After Jeannie returned with her promotion, it was time for another birthday... Wendy was transitioning into a child

Wendy grew up into quite a little firecracker who greatly resembled Jeannie

The sisters still got along extremely well and spent hours playing with one another

Wendy was a curious young lady, and was always wondering what her parents were doing, she would often listen in when Jeannie was giving Wesley horticultural advice (it's Oregano...)

She definitely shared her parents wonder about nature, and begged for a pet... Jeannie and Wesley relented and bought her a pet bird ((Also, a bedroom room makeover :) ))

Everyone in the house spent so much time on nature related activities that it was no surprise when Wesley earned a Nature Plaque from a local club

Wendy was also smart as a whip, she always did her homework and turned it in on time... and she wasn't too keen on enabling cheaters

Unfortunately some of her classmates are complete bully's

((total bull crap... seriously... also, why on earth would a CHILD have $25 for lunch money...))

After explaining the situation to her teacher Wendy got her grade restored, and was happy to show off her A+

Since the girls were getting older, Wesley and Jeannie thought it would be nice if they got to spend some more time with their cousins... Plus Wesley always liked inviting over his twin and family

Stella, ever the knowledge sim, was also super curious to find out more about Jeannie's new condition

Inviting the other Teer clan over served a dual purpose, Phoebe was growing up so fast, it was time for her to transition into a child

Last round at the Eich's, Kana gave birth to a baby girl that they named Zora. Angelica reached TOC Military thus fulfilling her LTW and declared a secondary Grilled Cheese aspiration, like her father. Tia got turned into a vampire and also turned one of her lovers, Mr. Big into a vampire as well. Zora grew up into a very adorable toddler and Kana got abducted by aliens. At the end of the round, Kana found out she was alien impregnated and she and Angelica decided to get married. Lets see what happened this round shall we?

((I lost a couple pictures of the beginning of the round... so you're going to miss pictures of the alien baby, Ziggy, being born, and Zora growing up into a child, but that's pretty much it))

Eich (lot 9) Saturday-Thursday

Angelica and Kana were enjoying their new little bundle of joy, a green boy named Ziggy. Angelica's sister, Anise, was half alien so she was excited that the aliens were keeping tradition

Ziggy's birth allowed Angelica to fill up her Lifetime Aspiration Meter fairly quickly

Angelica and Kana also tried to spend as much time as possible with Zora, telling her all about her new baby brother

They managed to instill a good tolerance into Zora at an early age, she was excited when she met Wiley Teer at school and wanted to bring him home to meet her green brother

Despite her new affliction, Tia continued to work in the music career, and she did well at it too... the problem was, she arrived home in the middle of the day most of the time

Luckily she could swiftly fly into the house and get into her coffin before any real damage was done

Kana was also progressing in her culinary career

After getting settled in from work, Kana helped Ziggy transition into a toddler

Ziggy turned out to be an adorable toddler, more resembling his mysterious alien parentage than Kana but she delighted in him just the same

Unfortunately there were not enough hours in the day to keep up with two full time jobs, and training a toddler, but Angelica and Kana tried their hardest to help Ziggy learn all his skills

It was also important to help Zora with her school work and not let her fall victim to neglect that often comes with a newborn

Happily she started bringing home A+ report cards, all their hard work was paying off

Luckily for them, Aunt Tia could babysit while they were resting or partaking in other marital activities

((I can just imagine Tia's thinking that she's undead and that she should be prowling the night, not spending eternity potty training, lol))

Even with fairly around-the-clock supervision, Ziggy still managed to get into trouble when nobody was watching

Tia not only helped tremendously with the children, she continued to be active in her career and her quick advancement up the latter helped add to the family funds

Angelica was sure moving in with Tia was the right decision... especially since there would be another little on on the way soon!

Everyone was thrilled to be adding to their happy little family

Last time, Brittany reached the top of the Military Career achieving her LTW, then she decided to try her hand at politics hoping to one day become Mayor. Tabitha found a crush in Timothy Twining. Jaina and Germain grew up into adorable toddlers who learned all their skills in pairs and Nick grew up into a super handsome teen with a Romance aspiration and the desire to be a man-whore (woohoo with 20 sims). He was promptly initiated into the Devivio coven and will have a good alignment. At the end of the round, Jaina and Germain grew up into children. This house is awesome, lets see how things go shall we?

Our week at the Devivio house starts off with a birthday, our CAS toddler, Kurt is turning into an elder (wow!)

Of course he grows up well, with his family and a few friends around to help welcome him into elder-hood

Kurt really has lived a great life... he had 4 wonderful kids whom he thought the world of. The twins were especially well behaved and always found ways to entertain themselves

Kurt had some unfinished business regarding the twins that he needed to take care of...

Unlike his last visit, everything went off without a hitch and the headmaster was pleased to admit the two youngest Devivio children into his school

It was hard not to be impressed by this family... despite the magical aura of the house, Kurt and Brittany were both super successful... Brittany continually proved that by bringing home promotions in quick succession

The kids getting admitted into private school combined with her recent promotion allowed Brittany to fill up her Lifetime Aspiration Meter ensuring that she would have a very happy birthday later that night

It wasn't just the humans in the house, even their little chihuahua Scout was finding some success in his career

After everyone had settled in for the evening Brittany called a few friends over

It was birthday time again!

Not surprisingly, Brittany grew up well, just like Kurt, she also retained her young appearance despite a few gray hairs

((Brittany doesn't strike me as the type that would settle fr gray hair, plus... she's a witch, she can just magic all the grays away!))

Even with Elder parents, life went on about the same in the Devivio household. Nick only had his mind on one thing... his go-to gal, Harley-Quinn

The twins were incredibly social too, always bringing friends home from school

Kurt and Brittany didn't want their social tendencies to impede on their schoolwork though and every night they made sure that Jaina and Germain were tending to their assignments

Completing their homework assignments promptly helped them earn top grades in their new school and both twins brought home A+ report cards by the close of their first week there

Tabitha was the only anomaly in the very social household... she preferred to keep to herself and study her magic or play games rather than socializing with friends. She spent so much time playing on the computer that she was able to earn her games hobby plaque

It was somewhat ironic that the entire Devivio clan was invited over to help celebrate Tabitha's transition into adulthood

((nope, Tabi had no desire to go to college and with her personality, I figured it would be torture for her anyway. Also, this is my attempt at Family Saturday, lol))

Several non-family members were also invited, especially Timothy

Tabitha was pretty sure she'd like to spend the rest of her life with Timothy

Tabitha was so excited to leave her ackward teen years behind and begin her adult life

Timothy had his adult transition that evening too ((so handsome, they're going to make 6 beautiful babies to fulfill Tabi's LTW))

After Tabitha blew out the candles, she left her guests to enjoy the rest of the party, everyone seemed to be having a good time

Even the hot tub was getting good use ((all the couples took turns woohooing in the hot tub, lol))

((My game was at like 5 FPS during the family event so I'm not so sure I like to do that... Also with the mass exodus of people when the party ended my game crashed. I guess I just need to use the teleporter shrub to clear off all the family members instead of having them all try to leave at the same time. Tabitha will move into her own place next round to start her adult life and begin acquiring a brood of 6 babies... she's the 4th Devivio in the hood to have that Lifetime want. Last time at the Devivio house, Connor reached TOC in the Business Career, Carla reached TOC in the Education Career, and 2 of the cats reached TOC getting Connor halfway through his LTW. Gibson transitioned into a teen with a Popularity Aspiration and a desire to become a Cult Leader. Gibson also thwarted my plans, and decided that he had no attraction what-so-ever to Meadow Thayer. He did have dates with two lovely ladies though so we'll see how he gets along with them more this round. Kay transitioned into a toddler and then later to a child at the end of the round. Carla transitioned into a very hip elder, and promptly retired. Lets see what happens this round...

Devivio (lot 7) Saturday-Thursday
Carla Devivio, Connor Johnston, Gibson Devivio, Kay Devivio, Alec Bigfoot
Cats: Sebastian, Snolanna, Snickers, Heath, Heidi

Gibson and Kay were two of the most gregarious kids in the neighborhood, they were always bringing home friends from school. Kay especially always wanted to bring home one of her many cousins. She loved playing with her cousin Camron especially.

Gibson's wants revolve heavily around Allyn, he wanted to ask her on a date

And as Gibson is a meanine... right after greeting her, he gave her a noogie

Allyn decided to wash off most of the make-up she wore, and style her hair a little differently. She looks quite nice without all the spackle on her face.

Things were a little boring around the house, so I sent the teens on an outing with Gibson's cousins, Eddie and Nick, Eddie's boyfriend Byron and a few random townie teens that he was friends with. I also sent Gibson's other love interest, Shelby, to see what developed. They went out to a made-over Lulu Lounge

Gibson wanted to drink tea, it's a double date at the tea table with Gibson, Allyn, Eddie and Byron

The rest of the teens socialized, looks like Nick is makin' on Shelby, lol

Gibson did a little slam poetry before the outing was over

Back at home, the cats continued to truck along their careers. Heath, the newest kitty to the house started to get closer and closer to the top by making some good decisions

Carla decided that since she was retired, she should start working more on her floral shop, plus having Alec around was a huge help especially with being able to keep the shelves stocked

With cleaned stocked shelves, and good salesmanship, the shop easily soared to rank 6

Carla was also getting a lot more proficient with using the cash register, it was much easier now that she had an assistant to help out and didn't have to be in two places at once

Alec wasn't just a help around the shop, he was a contributing member of the household. With all of his skills he easily reached the top of the Music Career and achieved his Lifetime want

The kids were super self-sufficient, when they weren't out hanging out with friends they were pursuing their various interests. Gibson felt the need to stay fit, who was going to want to follow a flabby cult leader anyway?

He also developed an interest in music and begged his parents to buy him an electric guitar that he wailed on frequently. Carla and Conner were pleasantly surprised when he actually was good at it

Kay generally kept herself occupied at the drawing table in her made-over princess room

Surprisingly, she and Gibson hung out frequently despite the difference in their ages

One thing that Carla insisted on was that the kids keep up with their homework, sometimes it took some coaxing to get them to do so

In the end though, all the hardwork paid off when the kids brought home perfect grades

With all the hard work the kids were putting in, Carla and Connor thought it was an appropriate time to invite the headmaster over for dinner and audition to get the kids into private school

The family was perfect as perfect can be, the house tidy, and the food impeccably cooked

It was no question that the kids would be accepted into the prestigious school

Carla couldn't have been more proud of her little family

The kids weren't the only ace's in the house, the cats also performed at their peak... Heath continued to excel in the Security Career

Sebastian and Snolanna's kitten, Snickers, also started to find success in his career

Since the last two cats of the pack were starting to rise up in their respective careers, Connor decided it was time to adopt a sixth cat into the household. The new cat was named Sweets

Sweets had a very striking look to him, Connor decided that it would be best to find him a career in showbiz, he'd be perfect for any TV or movie spot

Carla immediately started training Sweets in the skills he would need to make it big in Showbiz

And Sweets sure did show a lot of promise in the first few days in his new home

Unfortunately for Sweets, he was still naive and wasn't really sure how to play the politics of the Showbiz field and made some poor decisions early-on in his career

No matter... Sweets would get right back in the saddle and try again.

((I am surprisingly in love with this house... who would have thought that Carla would have turned out to be such a family sim? She's constantly doting on the kids and it's adorable. I think Gibson solved my dilemma from last round, all he wanted to do was play guitar and hang out with Allyn, so I guess that's who he wants to be with. All of the cats, except Sweets, are primed to TOC, they have all their skills it's just a matter of getting promoted and not failing at any chance cards, heh. Here are a couple outtakes for you all:

University Part 1 (R11)

So since I'm a slacker and I haven't even played the entirety of Uni this round, I've decided I'm going to blog it in 2-3 installments. This installment is the first semester of the year round that I played like 4 months ago or something crazy, luckily I still have my notes. I think this is the first round I played with ACR installed, which explains all the dramaz going around. I have more played, but pics aren't edited, and I have a nice cliffhanger ending for you ::wink:: I also played through a round of Devivio house 3 (Carla, Connor, Gibson and Kay) so I have to edit those pictures as well.

I threw everyone in the Greek House this round, so here we go...

The next evening she invited everyone over again for her official hazing ceremony

It didn't take long for her to get accepted

Back at the Greek House, everyone is up to the usual activities (at least they are with their significant others)

While Columbia is enjoying her time with the big schnoz, James invites Magenta over for a little quality time

While James is groveling to Magenta, Columbia then hops in the hot tub with her (now over) date...

Since Columbia is a complete ho... I put her on birth control

After --- leaves, Columbia calls back the matchmaker... nothing notable happens on this date

((Well ACR at uni is totally insane... really, really insane and totally frustrating. At least my monogamous couples are behaving themselves for the most part. Columbia is a total ho, I have no idea what I'm going to do with her. Sorry it was so short but even a short post is better than nothing at all right? I'm itching to play again so maybe I'll have something in the next few days to post. Next up we'll have Devivio 3 then maybe more Uni if I can bring myself to finish it up, if not we'll move on to other houses in the hood so stay tuned...))

Devivio 2 (R11)

So I know I said that University was up next in my last post (over a month ago!), but I lied because I hate university and I'm only a little over 1/2 of the way playing it. All the uni kids are in the greek house so I'll probably blog it in installments and spread it out through the whole round. Anyway we're back to the second Devivio house on the playlist:

Last time... Flora and Annatto settled into the house with Jack. Flora got a job in the Architecture career but quickly learned that she was pregnant (a residual effect from her and Annatto's college graduation 'celebration') and got put on maternity leave only a day after starting her job. Annatto decided he would remain unemployed and work on his life's goal of raising 20 puppies -- he adopted two puppies named Jake and Sandi. Jack continued to romance the women of Silvervale but Flora did not approve of her dad's flirtations. Flora gave birth to a son they named Camron. At the end of the round, Camron grew into an adorable and inquisitive toddler and Flora and Annatto decided to try for a brother or sister for Camron.

Annatto took pride in two things. He delighted in fostering puppies and raising them to be good dogs. He couldn't wait to raise Sandi into a grown dog and help to find her a forever-home

Annatto also loved his family, and was especially delighted in his son

He even delighted in the mundane tasks like potty training

(Whoops, it looks like Camron lost is toussled hair-do in my delete fest... oh well, a trip to the mirror will remedy that situation)

Annatto tried to help Camron learn all his toddler skills, he was more cooperative with some than others

Annatto was also pleased that Camron seemed to take really well to the dogs, and the dogs to Camron... All of the dogs would queue up when Camron was giving out snuggles

Flora also took part in the parental responsibility, Since Annatto was home during the day, Flora often took charge of caring for Camron in the evening after work

After Camron was settled in for the night everyone went about their usual business. Flora noticed a beautiful woman passing by the house and decided to greet her

She learned that Kimi had recently moved from the bustling town of Rosebud. Flora immediately invited Kimi in for a bit to eat and some getting to know each other. Flora didn't anticipate Jack's attraction to Kimi

Jack and Kimi immediately hit it off... and strangely, Flora approved

Kimi: Of course I'll make you eggs in the morning

Jack wasn't shy about wooing Kimi, and he had had a lot of practice in his life, but Kimi was by far the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on

Luckily for Jack, Camron usually was able to keep himself busy, so Jack was free to woo Kimi as he pleased

It didn't take much time for one thing to lead to another...

Jack's evening romp with Kimi allowed him to max out his lifetime aspiration points... he was elated to have met her

Very early the next morning, Flora wasn't feeling so hot. She woke up and realized that her and Annatto's try for another baby had taken and that she was pregnant

Since Flora was home on maternity leave and could help take care of Camron during the day, Annatto had some free time. He decided he was going to invite over his younger siblings for the afternoon

Annatto didn't really get to spend that much time with his siblings though... Anise and Keith headed straight for the (much more) private hot tub...

The twins, of course, acted like twins and just wanted to run around with each other... whether playing Red hands for chasing each other around with water balloons

At least everyone was able to get together for a delicious lunch of grilled cheese that Flora prepared

When Jack got home from work that evening it was time for a momentous event, Jack was transitioning into elder ((Sorry I forgot it was your birthday Jack and you had to grow up in the middle of the living room))

Of course Jack grew up well, he was successful in his career, had a well run business and wonderful family, and many women that the had taken to his bed

There was a lot of growing-up to be done in the Devivio house, even Annatto's latest puppy, Sandi grew up

Jack and Sandi weren't the only birthdays taking place that night... once all the guests had arrived, Annatto happily brought Camron to his cake

All of Annatto's family (and a couple of Jack's girlfriend's) were there to cheer Camron on as he grew up

It was no surprise that Camron grew up into an adorable and well adjusted child

Camron Devivio - Gemini

After Camron blew out the candles, everyone settled down to a bite of cake and conversation. It had been a while since everyone had gotten together

Even grandma Pamela was able to make it to the birthday party

Camron wasn't too keen on all the guests, they only wanted to talk about adult stuff, and the party was too late for him to hang out with his cousin, Zora... So Camron decided to play with the dogs instead

Since Sandi was all grown up, it was time for Annatto to get another puppy from the pound, this time he adopted a male puppy named Benny

Benny wasn't the only new addition to the family... after breakfast Flora felt the familiar pains of labor... Baby #2 was on the way

She had another adorable baby boy named Ferris

Flora was elated to have another beautiful, healthy baby boy... in fact she didn't think she could get any happier in life

She also couldn't wait to teach Ferris all about the finer things in life

Even though Flora thought her life couldn't get any better... she still had a nagging desire to be a Hall of Famer like her dad... Jack was always giving her tips on how she could achieve that dream

Flora mostly wanted to achieve that dream to be a good influence on Camron. Camron was always bragging about Jack's job, and how Flora would one day be a Hall of Famer too

That afternoon, Cookie, the ever snobby pooch that she was, got a chance card... her decision may have been pretty back-handed...

... but the end result was great for Cookie and the family

Jack and Kimi continued to see one another... Jack handn't spent that much time with a single woman since Pamela had passed on, he was utterly enamored with her, and she with him

They were content just cuddling for hours with one another, under the stars...

and of course, in the hot tub

Jack could hardly believe it but he thought he might be in love again

And he especially loved Kimi's quirky-ness

The next evening he asked her to meet him downtown at the newly renovated Londoste Restaurant

Jack made sure that he tipped the hostess really well to seat them in a more private area

After they sat down... jack pulled the little black velvet box out of his pocket and laid it down on the table. Needless to say, Kimi was more than surprised

It took her a while to figure out if Jack was serious or not... of course, she accepted... age was not a problem to Kimi, after all Jack was wealthy and experienced (in more ways than one)

It was decided... Jack would move out of the house (after all it was starting to get a little crowded) and move into a little place with Kimi. After a lovely dinner, Jack had a few loose ends to tie up. He went straight to the business to check in and make sure everything was going smoothly

Jack explained to his employees that he would be passing the business down to Flora and they should continue to be great employees to her too

When Jack got home, he passed on the deed to the toy store, and all of his remaining inventory to Flora. Flora was excited to take over the family business but sad that Jack wouldn't be around to see the boys grow up

After all of his affairs were in order he called a cab to look for a new place for him and Kimi

Later that evening it was time for Ferris to enter toddler-hood. Flora and Annatto decided just to have a cake to themselves this time

Ferris grew up equally as cute as his older brother Camron ((I think he might be a clone!))

((This house officially has me happy about playing my prosperity again... University is just such a drag and I'm continually getting stuck on it every round. I was elated when Kimi walked by and she and Jack had instant chemistry. I milled it over the whole round about getting them moved in together and finally caved at the end. We'll see them toward the end of the round -- my reasoning is that Jack is an elder and probably won't be around that much longer so I'll have Kimi playable!!! Anyway, I love this family and I can't wait to play them more... the boys are so so so adorable. A little girl would be nice to add, though I'm not going to force Annatto and Flora to have more (unless they get hit by risky). Just a couple bloopers:

Hoppes 1 (R11)

Last time at the Hoppes House Marty and Sierra moved back after graduating college. Sierra purchased a Salon and Boutique as her first of five businesses. Marty got a job in the Architecture career track and, later, reached the top of the career ladder. Lorraine endeavored and got accepted into private school. On the weekend, Marty and Sierra got married in a beautiful backyard ceremony... soon after the wedding Sierra found out she was expecting the first child of generation 4! At the end of the round, Amar and Serena transitioned into elders and Sierra gave birth to twins -- a boy named Biff and a girl named Jennifer. Lets see how things go this round...

Business was booming at the Salon... People were pouring in for Sinjin's famous make-overs

Merchandise was flying off the shelves as soon as they could stock it... the place was a madhouse and it took all the staff power just to keep up

So many people were making purchases that Lorraine earned her silver register badge

Sierra took Lorraine off the register for a bit to help with sales, she really needed more practice helping the customers

After helping a few customers, Lorraine was really getting the hang of things. She managed to earn her Bronze sales badge in no time

It seemed that all of the commotion was hurting Sinjin's concentration, he was having somewhat of an off night in the haircut department. Angelica Eich came in for a simple straightening and ended up with a worse hair day than she was having before

Denise Jaquet had similar luck and ended up with a look she was not pleased with

While Angelica took off, Denise stayed and complained to Sierra... Sierra offered to fix her makeover free of charge

As the owner of the store, Sierra really knew what she was doing... Denise was more than happy with her free makeover

Sierra was luck that her good customer service was seen by a secret shopper who ended up praising Sierra on her good work and awarding the salon with a Best-of-the-Best award

Lorraine continued to help customers, she really had a knack for helping them with their purchases

She learned so quickly that she soared through her sales training and earned a gold sales badge

Sierra and Lorraine were a great team. And Lorraine was happy to receive the training she would need to achieve her dream of owning 5 top level businesses

Lorraine was an asset to the Salon in other ways too. That evening the elevator broke down and nearly killed Jack Copur

Lorraine quickly took the initiative to fix the broken elevator so that other customers would not have to experience the same thing

Unfortunately for the business, Angela, Sierra's other employee, couldn't handle the pressure of the shop. As the shop got more busy, she got more and more fed up

She ended up walking out in the middle of her shift

Sierra took over the beautician chair to give Sinjin a break. On his way to the restroom he stopped to help a confused Imelda Vinci find a particular brand of perfume

Imelda was so grateful for the help that her loyalty helped to push the Business to the maximum level

Sierra was grateful to have such a great employee like Sinjin that she promoted him to store manager. It was time for her to start looking for new business prospects... She thought a venue might be a nice change of pace

Sierra didn't have to worry about the twins being taken care of at home. Serena was retired and more than capable of caring for the babies

Amar, bored at home, decided to continue to work. His persistence paid off and he was rewarded with a promotion to the top of the Natural Science career track

After everyone had gotten settled in the house for the evening, it was time to celebrate the twins' transitions into toddlers. The happy parents did the honors of bringing Jennifer and Biff to their birthday cakes

Biff grew up first into a very handsome little guy who favored the Hoppes features

Jennifer was also adorable and Sierra was pleased to see that she reflected her own natural beauty but with Amar's blond hair

Marty and Sierra were pleased to find out that Serena and Amar still relished time with their grandchildren. Both Serena and Amar enjoyed reading to the children before bed

(A story about toilets seems exciting, lol)

Serena and Amar's doting on the children gave Marty and Sierra more time to wind down after hectic days.

Sierra liked to unwind out in the greenhouse. She spent so much time tending the garden that she earned a bronze gardening badge

Marty still enjoyed spending time at telescope... it had always been a favorite passtime of his since high school

The toddlers were a joy to have around. Marty and Sierra helped them learn all their toddler skills

They also picked up walking very quickly

Marty was so pleased that Biff and Jennifer learned so quickly that it sent his lifetime aspiration score so high that he was able to choose a secondary aspiration. He figured that a little Romance would never hurt anybody

On the rare occasion that the children were left to their own devices they were more than happy to amuse themselves. Biff found fun in the simplest of toys

And Jennifer took quite a liking to Lorraine's dog, Queenie

The family was happy and functional. The only anomoly was Jennifer's refusal to sleep in her crib. The only place she would even think of sleeping was in Queenie's bed

With all the adults in the house, Lorraine was completely off the hook as far as babysitting was concerned. It gave her a lot more time to network with like-minded community business owners, she was especially thrilled to meet the (in)famous Malcolm Landgrabbe

Macolm really was quite taken by Lorraine... Too bad for him, she was still a few months away from her 18th birthday

Lorraine had other matters to attend to as well. Since she had helped Sierra work the Salon up to level 10, she was going to try and concentrate on her electronics store a little bit before college... plus she needed Serena's help to construct the higher end items for the store... Lorraine only had a bronze robotics badge

Serena helped Lorraine make some stock for the store. Lorriane stocked the shelves with the brand spankin' new machinery

Serena promised to help Lorraine get the business off the ground, plus she didn't want Lorraine in a building all by herself.

Since Lorraine already had experince on the cash register, Serena took charge of helping customers. She earned a bronze sales badge fairly quickly

The bronze sales badge was followed by a silver sales badge as more customers came into the shop

Time was flying so quickly around the Hoppes house that it was time again for another birthday for the twins

Biff went first again and grew into a very handsome young man who insisted in keeping his beanie

Jennifer closely followed behind her twin. There was no doubt in anyone's mind that she was going to be the princess of the family

After the twins' birthdays, Lorraine was ready to get out of the house and head off to college. She checked with financial aid to see which scholarship she was able to earn

After checking her scholarships she called the taxi and was swept off to begin her college life at Sim State

Lorraine's departure for college was perfect timing for the household. Soon after Lorraine left Sierra found out that she was expecting another baby

The kids were really excited that they were going to have a baby brother or sister running around soon

((Well this house was a whirlwind to play... there was soooo much going on. Sierra is 1/5 for her LTW now which is a nice but businesses take soo damn long to build to level 10. I'm hoping Lorraine can work on her business while she is in college though I'm not sure if that's possible. The twins are ADORABLE I love them to pieces. I can see Jennifer being the "mean" girl this generation, she would fit the persona so well with her platinum blond locks and tan skin. Marty needs 1 more child for his LTW, so I'm pretty certain they're only getting 1 more with the imminent population boom I just can't allow myself to let them have more kids even though the kids they have are beautiful. Just one silly little outtake:

ISBI challenge @ livejournal

Hey Folks,

I decided I needed a little change of pace from the prosperity hood so I started a Pixel_Trade ISBI Legacy challenge. Since Pixel_Trade is a Livejournal Community, the entries will be hosted over there. Basically, for this challenge every person starts with the same founder and you can only marry in sims made by other Pixel Trade members to carry the Legacy through 5 generations (though I'll probably take mine as long as I can). Additionally, you have to roll a random challege each week. I also decided to put an ISBI spin on mine. If you're interested you can check it out at my Livejournal :D

I'm still playing the prosperity, but playing a week of ISBI is a lot easier and quicker than playing 5 days in one of my fuller prosperity houses. I'm about halfway through posting a pretty monster Devivio update (expect it today or tomorrow), and then have the pictures edited and ready to go for a monster of an update over at the Hoppes house. And I'm slowly working my way through the (thankfully) only uni household I have this round but that's as far as I am into Round 11. Anyway... just thought I'd give you a little update in case you're curious.

Last Round at the Devivio household Columbia went on lots of dates and Eddie grew up into a stunning teen with a Knowledge aspiration. At the end of the round, Columbia went off to college and the family's cat, Cherish went to the big litter box in the sky. This round there is a ton more going on, with tons of pictures...

Things didn't stay quiet in the Devivio house for long, after college Frank moved back in, with his fiance, Whitney. There was a lot of jostling in the house and Frank and Whitney inherited Eddie and Columbia's old room... they certainly put it to good use

Magenta was also crashing with the family until James finished school and moved back to Silvervale. The Pushards said they would be happy to have Magenta stay there, but she definitely felt more comfortable at home.

Unfortunately for Magenta she had to crash in Franks old, tiny room upstairs... she moved back to Silvervale with more baggage than she expected... she was pregnant!

Having so many people around the house was hectic, but it was also helpful for Sofia and Guy to have extra hands around, especially since they were getting up in years and couldn't do as much around the huge house as they used to. It also gave them time for other things

Whitney definitely lived up to her Family aspiration, she was the perfect homemaker...

She prepared most of the meals for the family

She was also handy and was readily able to fix things when they broke

((note she discovered her love of tinkering while plunging the toilet, lulz))

Whitney also wanted to meet everyone she could in the town, it was exciting for her to live in such a rich and vibrant community. Unfortunately not all of the locals were as friendly as the Devivio's. She figured that Guillermo Chan must have been from out of town

On the morning of her wedding, while she was getting ready, she kept feeling sick... she chalked it up to butterflies about her pending nuptials

Despite her nerves, the blushing bride looked as radiant as ever... some of the guests even said she was absolutely glowing

The wedding went off without a hitch. Frank and Whitney happily exchanged vows

And they officially became man and wife

The yard was packed with family and friends all cheering them on

Despite the Cheers from the crowd, Frank and Whitney were on cloud nine and it seemed that there was nobody around, just the two of them

While the caterers were setting up the buffet and moving the tables and chairs inside the house, all of the guests enjoyed a little dancing in the backyard

After the food was served, the guests moved inside and enjoyed a nice meal together

The children opted to eat in the kitchen so that they wouldn't have to sit with the boring adults

As everyone was finishing up their dinner, Frank and Whitney decided to partake in one more wedding ritual and cut the cake

Everything about their wedding was as perfect as it could be, everyone had a great time

After the guests had left, Whitney and Frank decided to enjoy their first time together as a married couple

Whitney: Honey, I think I might be pregnant... but if not can we try again just to make sure

Frank Decided that he had slacked off long enough and decided it was time to get a job, 100,000 simoleans weren't just going to earn themselves he took the highest paid position with the most potential for promotion

While Frank was at work the next day, Whitney worked on restoring things to normal after the wedding, there was a lot of cleaning up to do. In the middle of tearing down the buffet table she felt an awful tinge in her midsection which confirmed her suspicions that they were expecting their first child

Having two pregnant women in the house was a little more than most of the inhabitants of the house could handle... both Magenta and Whitney were gushing about their upcoming babies... it was almost more than Eddie could bear

Whitney: Won't it be fun to take a family cruise once all the children are old enough?

Everyone was secretly relieved when Magenta's water broke... a crying, needy infant was much preferable to a hormonal pregnant woman any day

Magenta gave birth to a beautiful baby boy who definitely favored his father, with dark skin and light gray eyes

She named him Frederick

There wasn't any spare space in the house so Magenta had to make room in her small space for Frederick's crib and toys

After Frederick's birth, James made a special trip out from Sim State to meet his newborn son, it was really difficult for him to be away from Magenta, especially now that they had a baby together

James couldn't get enough of the little guy and it delighted him when James would smile and coo and his silly faces

Whitney couldn't wait for her own child to be born, she happily accepted looking after Frederick so that Magenta and James could have some child-free adult time

They enjoyed a round of pool and caught up about James' life at college and talked about plans for after he graduated

Later that evening, Frank came home with his first, and only promotion in the Music Industry, he had reached the top of the career ladder with very little effort

Early the next morning Whitney's water broke. Frank was amazed that he slept through the entire birth

A lovely little lady with black! hair, green eyes and a pale skintone was born, they named her Veronica

With two infants joining an already packed house, Eddie took every advantage she could to get out of the house. Byron's house was just as insane as hers so they frequently went on dates downtown

One of their favorite hangout's was Red's 50's Style Diner, they had the best burgers in town

Eddie was highly amused by the photobooth in the diner as well

Byron's mother was so curious to meet Eddie that she called her up one day wondering if Eddie would like to join the whole family for dinner...

Eddie politely declined because the family was settling in for Frederick's birthday party...

Frederick grew into an adorable toddler, more closely resembling the Pushard lineage

Frederick Devivio -- Virgo (10/1/9/10/1)

As soon as Frederick aged, Magenta was so excited to teach him everything she could, and spend every waking moment with her son ((typical family sim))

Unfortunately, Frederick wasn't too terribly excited about learning and it was difficult for her to teach him even how to say mommy

Frederick was much more content playing with his Mom and Aunt's old doll house that was stashed away in Eddie's room

A couple week's later it was Veronica's turn for transition to toddlerhood, everyone again gathered in the kitchen, birthdays were old hat in the Devivio household

Veronica grew up heavily favoring the Devivio side of the family, Frank was delighted to see that she inherited the family nose

((Well this house was rather insane to play. Magenta got knocked up in college before she left... though I could have sworn she was on birth control and I thought it might be weird to move her into the Pushards before James was moved back so she's back home for now. My jaw dropped when Whitney had the Marry off 6 kinds LTW. Since Magenta, Whitney and Tessa all have the 6 kids LTW, I don't think I'm going to go for the 10 kid IW with Brad and Tessa anymore... sorry folks but that's just too damn many Devivio's running around the hood and they already make up like 60% of the population as it is.
